Meet Arlene O’Brien, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Arlene O’Brien is committed to helping patients achieve good oral health and obtain the smile of their dreams through a wide range of restorative, advanced, and cosmetic dental solutions. She truly cares about her patients’ well-being, listening closely to their concerns and tailoring treatment to address their unique needs. With over 15 years of dental experience in private practice, Dr. O’Brien has advanced skill in the full breadth of general and family dentistry. Dr. O’Brien enjoys treating families and providing people with a dental home.



Education & Training
Dr. O’Brien completed her undergraduate education from Rutgers University, graduating with high honors in psychology and biology. She was then accepted into the BA/DMD joint program through Rutgers University and New Jersey Dental School (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). After earning her DMD, Dr. O’Brien trained in a hospital residency at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she remains involved as a resident supervisor for post-doctoral training. Furthermore she is also involved with Robert Wood Johnson Hospital’s dental clinic in New Brunswick as a resident supervisor.
In addition to her foundational dental education, Dr. O’Brien completed fellowship training from the Academy of General Dentistry—a prestigious program completed by only about 6% of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada. To achieve this status, Dr. O’Brien was required to pass a rigorous exam and demonstrate her lifelong dedication to continuing education, completing 500 credit hours of continuing education courses.
Dr. O’Brien is involved with organized dentistry through leadership positions within the Academy of General Dentistry and the New Jersey Dental Association. She is passionate about her profession and enjoys being involved.

When not helping patients on the road with Traveling Dentists, she also helps patients at her office Cornerstone Dental in Green Brook. Dr. O’Brien lives in Middlesex County with her husband and two daughters.
Equipment


The Traveling Dentists use state-of-the-art equipment specifically designed for providing high quality, dependable oral healthcare right in your home. We use a completely mobile operatory that can easily wheel into your residence and provide all the tools, suction, air, and water needed to provide services on-site. This even allows our team to provide care to those who cannot to leave their bed or wheelchair.
We also use a high-resolution portable digital x-ray camera to take low-radiation dental x-rays and instantly display them to our patients. This allows our dental professionals, in real-time, to explain to a client with acute particularity exactly what is going on in their mouth.
